TAG: How much does your face cost?

Hi Everyone!

I've seen this tag going around and it looks like a lot of fun to do and I love reading them! It might be a bit eye opening also!

MAC Studio finish concealer                 $18.00
Maybelline dark circle eraser               $9.69
Makeup forever HD finishing powder $35.00
Rimmel Natural Bronzer                       $6.99
Benefit "coralista" blush                        Free! (got this with my Sephora points!$35.00 value)

Eyes:
MAC "bare study" paint pot               $17.50
Naked 2 Palette                                     $60.00
L'Oreal carbon black liquid eyeliner  $8.69
Maybelline Falsies mascara                $7.69
NYX jumbo pencil in "milk"                $6.49

TOTAL:                        $227.74

I have to say it's not AS bad as I thought it would be, considering the naked palette will last me so long. But it is still crazy to think about spending that much on my everyday routine. I do love every single one of these product so much so to me it it worth it.

What do you think about this tag? If you've done this tag leave me the link to your post in the comments, I love to read them!

Nail of the day! Essie & Maybelline

I'm loving the new nail polishes Maybelline has been coming out with in the past few months. So many awesome shades and for such a great deal at less than $3 CAD. I paired this mint shade with this large silver glitter on my accent nail, I love the way it turned out especially for summer!
Maybelline "Green with Envy" and Essie "Set in Stones"

Have you guys tried any of the Maybelline nail polishes? What are some of your favourites?

Favorite Concealers!

These are four of my all time favourite concealers! They're all really great and I would definitely recommend them! What are some of your favourite concealers? I love trying new ones!
Hard Candy: Glam of lauge- This stuff is really great. If you're looking for a high coverage concealer that isn't expensive, I would definitely recommend this! I've tried a lot of drugstore concealers and have found this to be the best. It's long lasting and moisturizing, I just wish it came in more shade selections!

MAC: Studio Finish- Probably my number one all-time favorite concealer! I've been using this for years and years. It comes in this tiny pot but it literally lasts FOREVER! It's a very thick and creamy consistency that will seriously cover up everything. Apply it with your fingers so the product heats up and goes on smoothly.  It's also water resistant!
Benefit: Erase Paste- This concealer is especially good if you are someone with bad dark circles. I find it has a bit of a salmon tint which is perfect for concealing dark circles. It's really great and very long wearing, on top of that you get a good amount of product so this will last you a very long time! I've had mine for about a year and a half and I have about a 1/4 left!

Age Rewind Eraser- One of my favorite YouTube beauty gurus Tiffanyd swears by this stuff so I had to try it. I have pretty bad dark circles so I'm always looking for something to cover them up and the fact that this is a drugstore product is a plus! This is my third time purchasing this because I really do love it! The applicator is a tiny sponge that the product comes out of which makes it really nice to apply and it covers up my dark circles so well, I wouldn't suggest applying this anywhere else but under your eyes though.

Have you guys tried any of these? What did you think?

Nail of the day!

I'm loving the shades Essie has been coming out with lately, so many pretty pastels and bright summery colors. This one, "Play Date" is one of my favourites. I added a little bit of light gold glitter to add a little something different. I picked up this glitter from Sally's and its "shining dawn" by Super Nail.

What do you guys think of some of the new Essie colours? What are some of your favourites?

Products I've used up #1

Hi Everyone!
I've recently finished up some products and I love reading post on items people have used up because then you know that they actually enjoyed using them! So I thought I would share what I've used up over the past few months

Makeup forever HD foundation- I have to say that when I started using this I couldn't see what all of the hype was about but after using it for a few weeks I fell in love! The coverage is great, it doesn't feel heavy on your face and it lasts a good amount of time. It also photographs amazing, this might be my new favorite foundation.

Maybelline Lash Stiletto liquid eyeliner- This is my second time purchasing this product and I really like it! It has a felt tip which I like better and find easier to use. This was my favorite eyeliner until I tried the loreal carbon black eyeliner. Both are great products!

Makeup Forever HD setting powder- This has been in my favorites before and it will continue to be. This stuff is seriously amazing! A little bit pricey for a setting powder ( i think around $35) but it's completely worth it. I have oily skin and this makes my makeup last all day! It also gives your skin a flawless finish, I definitely recommend this!
Too Faced Lash light Mascara- This mascara gives a really nice natural look, as well as giving your lashes some good length. The different thing about this one is that it as a light and mirror on it in case you ever need to do a touch up at night!

Benefit's "They're Real" Mascara- This mascara is really amazing and I was fully ready to purchase it again until I found a close dupe. Revlon 3D mascara is so so close to the Benefit mascara, with basically the same brush, the Revlon on is around $8 as opposed to the Benefit one being $32

Glam Glow Mud Mask- I got a sample of this mask in either my Glymm or Luxe box. I tried it once and I was hooked. After doing this mask your skin feels amazing, smooth and you actually have a glow. I found my makeup went on a lot better after using this also. It is a little pricey at around $85 but Glymm had it on sale for about $50 and I also had my Glymm points saved up so I got $20 off, amazing deal! Glymm point are awesome, after every box you receive you can fill out surveys on what you thought of the products you received and you'll get points. Every 100 points is $10 towards their online shop!

Here is Glymm's website if you want to check them out!

Hope you all are having a great day!

Review: Maybelline DreamLumi Highlighting Concealer

So I recently picked up this concealer to try it out. I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with this product...

I was really excited to try this out because I would hoping it would be similar to the ever so popular YSL one. Well I definitely was wrong, maybe I haven't tried it for long enough but this is was I think  after trying it for about 3 days.

I found this concealer doesn't cover up my dark circles, sun spots and blemishes. It also didn't last long at all. Maybelline is one of my favourite drugstore brands but they kind of let me down on this one.

The applicator is nice and helps the product go on smoothly

Very little product is given, not close to being worth the $9

Overall I wouldn't recommend this product and it definitely would be a repurchase for me. They're so many other awesome drugstore concealers out there, I wouldn't waste my time/money on this one.

Has anyone else tried this product? What did you think?

Drugstore Haul!

Hi everyone!

Yesterday I stopped by the drugstore to pick up some of the basics and I decided to try out a few new items along the way. So here they are!

  • Cotton rounds $1.84- I love using these with my toner and to remove nail polish
  • Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlighting Concealer $9.96- This is a new try. Not to sure how I feel about it yet, I might do a review on this in the next few days.
  • John Frieda Sheer Blonde purple shampoo $9.97- This is my second bottle, love love LOVE this stuff. It's been a life saver and makes sure my hair doesn't get a brassy tint to it.
  • IMpress nails $8.97- I thought I would give these a shot as my nails have been in awful conduction lately and i've read some good reviews on them so we will see how long these actually last!
  • Simple makeup wipes $7.97- I've bought several packs of these, their my all-time favourite makeup wipe. They don't irritate your eyes and they remove makeup so well!
  • Maybelline Super Stay Stain Gloss in Pink Plush $8.96- I liked the idea of a lip stain and gloss in one. I've only tried this on once but I really like it. The stain seems to last a long time but I find after a little less than an hour the gloss is gone but you still have a stain so that's a plus!

Anyway, that's it for my drugstore haul! Have you guys picked up anything from the drugstore recently that you really love?

The perfect summer blush!

Benefit's Coralista

I've been so in love with the blush this summer. I've had it for at least a year but for some reason I never really used it!

What I love about this blush
- Smells amazing!
- The packaging is so cute and it comes with a decent amount of product, I've used it almost every day for the past two months and I'm not even close to hitting pan.
- It's the most beautiful coral-pink shade with just enough shimmer to give you a nice glow.
- This isn't one of those blushes that you need to be super careful when applying it. There's no need to worry about it looking streaky or putting to much on.
- This colour would look great on so many skin tones

If you haven't tried this yet and you're in the market for a nice summer blush then I would definitely recommend this! For those of you who have tried it, what do you think?

Glossybox Canada- June 2012!

Hi everyone!

So my Glossybox finally came in the mail! This is probably the only negative thing I have to say about Glossybox is that they ship their boxes on one of the very last days of the month, but not a huge deal. This is my second box I have received from them and I have to say I'm super impressed! I've also tried Glymm and Luxe box and Glossybox blows both of them out of the water(so far), even thought glossy is a few dollars more($15 per month) you definitely get your moneys worth.

Anyways, here it is... my June Glossybox!

Box it comes in (I use mine to store/organize my nail polish)

Always cute packaging

Overview

Venus Embrace Razor(Full Size) 1 kit/ $13.43
Super happy about this one, you can never have enough razors and Venus is my fav brand!

Wella Ocean Spiritz(Full Size) 150ml/$16.99
I've tried Wella's hairspray before and really loved it so i'm excited to try this out. This seems like a great product for the summer! Spray it in damp hair, twist into a low bun and dry fully with a diffuser, take out clips and you'll have beautiful carefree beach hair

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen 88ml/$15.99
This claims to be super light and fast-absorbing, sounds perfect to me! I've been trying to get into the habit of wearing sunscreen on my face everyday so I'll give this a shot!

Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser(Full Size) 130g/$9.99
I'm not really a huge fan of trying out new cleansers because I have sensitive skin but maybe once I'm all out of my current cleanser I'll try this out. I like the whole "warming" idea, I've never tried a cleanser that warms before. Have you guys ever tried this cleanser before?

Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex 50ml/$30.99
claims to smooth the look of fine lines. I'm not to interested in this product so I might give it away to someone.

Cover Girl Flipstick Lipstick(Full Size) 3.8gr/$12.50
I've really wanted to try these, I always take a look at them when I past by them in a store. SO not impressed with the color I ended up with, and apparently pretty much everyone got this shade. I was going to do swatches but I didn't want to open it in case I can find someone who I can give this to. One shade is a dark brown/red-ish color and the other side is a metallic gold shade. Personally I can't pull this look off so I'm kind of disappointed that I don't get to try this out.

Biore Deep Cleaning Pore Strips(1 strip) 8set/$8.99
I've tried these before and really loved them, they do the job!

Overall I was really impressed and I'm counting down the days until my July box comes in the mail!
What was in your glossybox this month? or does anyone get a beauty box from a different company?

June Favorites!

Wet and Wild- walking on eggshells
This is my first wet and wild product and I must say I'm super impressed! The eye shadows are really pigmented and last all day with a primer underneath. These colors are great for an everyday look as well as a nighttime smokey eye, and for under $3 you can't go wrong!

Nyx jumbo pencil in milk
I love the NYX jumbo eye pencils! This one is milk is great for putting on your inner eye for a brightening eye opening effect. I've been using this like crazy the past few months

Revlon nail polish in Gum Drop
This color is great for summer when you have a tan! I would have to say this is probably one of my favorites in my collection right now, I'm always reaching for it! Revlon came out with some great new summer colors this month!

Simple make up wipes
I use make up wipes every night before I wash my face. I like having that extra step to make sure I'm getting all of my make up off. This brand simple is fairly new to Canada, I know the UK has used and loved this brand for a while so I was very excited to try it out. This is my 3rd pack of them and I have to say that I love them 100 times more than the Neutrogena & Ponds ones I previously used. These ones are so soft and don't irritate your eyes. I would definitely recommend them!

Revlon lip stick in Pedal
This is my second tube of this shade from Revlon, which is saying a lot because I never finish any of my lip products! This color reminds me a lot of "plink!" from MAC, except half the price! It's the perfect everyday pink that goes with everything and is so smooth and moisturizing.

St Tropez Bronzing Mousse
This stuff is seriously amazing! It gives you an instant beautiful bronze glow that looks like you just got back from a vacation down south. When I first tried this I was so scared of it looking fake and streaky but it was far from that. It's super easy to apply and you don't have to be too careful putting it on, you just have to make sure to rub it in fast. I purchased the mitt along with it and it definitely helps it go on smoothly and evenly.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
I've been a huge fan of the Naked & Naked 2 palettes for a while now. I love basically every single shade in these palettes! When the Naked 2 came out I was so in love with the Naked 1 palette still that I didn't really try out the Naked 2 as much as I should have. This past month I've been loving this one look where I use suspect, verve, and YDK(let me know if you guys want to see a tutorial on this)

Pinterest
I've been addicted to Pinterest since it first came out. It's such a great way to get idea for anything really. I'm always on there looking at recipes, hair and beauty ideas, wedding and events and fashion. If you haven't checked out pinterest you definitely should! I have a link to it at the top of my blog :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful month of June! What are some of the things you've been loving this month?
