Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation Review

Hi Everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you guys a foundation that I've been loving lately! Side note... I finally graduated college and cannot be more happy! Now it's time to get a grown up job :|

Anyways! Back to the review on Covergirl's Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation. When I first tried this foundation to be honest I really did not like like it, I found it make my skin look cakey. A few weeks later I decided to give it a try again after hearing so many great things about it on YouTube, and I was hooked.

What Covergirl says:
"All-in-one foundation with a long-lasting formula that fuses primer, concealer, and foundation in one easy step! The 3-in-1 formula provides a flawless look that lasts all day long."

What I think about this foundation:
Pros
  • The coverage is pretty good, I would say medium to full but it doesn't feel super heavy which I like.
  • Great for combo- oily skin
  • Fairly matte/ powdery like finish
  • Easy to apply and blend- I love using my Sigma F84 - Angled Kabuki Brush to apply this
  • Long wearing- I put this on around 6am and don't have to touch up with powder until around 3:30pm
  •  SPF 20
  • The bottle has a pump- Finally drugstore foundations are starting to come with a pump!
Cons
  • I found it extremely hard to find a shade that matched my skin tone. The foundation always looked lighter in the bottle and then once I would go to apply it, it would look a lot darker.
  • I did find that as the day went on this foundation did get a bit darker, it didn't oxidize just changed color a bit.
Final thoughts:
Overall I do really like this foundation, I would say it’s one of the better drugstore foundations. I really like the coverage and staying power, that’s what sticks out the most for me. Still doesn’t beat my Revlon Colorstay Whipped though!

Hi Everyone!
First off I wanted to say a huge thank you to Chelsea for designing my new layout. She was so awesome to work with and literally took the ideas out of my head and made them a reality. Now into the review...
I've always been big on testing out new mascaras, I love layering them and finding the best combination that works for my lashes. These past few weeks I've been really loving the new L'Oreal Shocking Extensions mascara. With this one I don't even need to use another mascara over top because this Shocking Extensions mascara makes my lashes look so long and voluminous!
When I first saw this mascara I was kind of turned off by the brush because it didn't look like the typical brush I go for, I usually like the thicker brushes.
The brush shape is thin with fairly short bristles which makes it great for picking up all of your lashes and really coating them, it’s also great for winging out the ends.A few other added bonuses is that it doesn't leave flakes underneath your eyes and it does not make your lashes feel hard or brittle. I find this mascara really gives a natural but full and defined look, best of both worlds in my opinion.
No mascara
One coat of mascara
Two coats of mascara

Have you ever tried this mascara? What did you think about it?

How to give your skin that "healthy glow"

Hi Everyone!
Since spring in upon us I thought this would be the perfect time to share with you guys the products I use when I want to make my skin glow and look healthy.
Now I have combo-oily skin so I have to be super careful when trying to achieve glowy skin because I also don't want it to look oily.
Benefit "High beam" & "watts up"
Having a cream or liquid highlight is a great way to make your skin glow. The Watt's Up from benefit is one of my favourites, you just have to make sure you blend it in very well! Placing a highlighter along your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, and Cupid's bow is a great way to add a healthy glow to your skin. If you're interested in trying out Benefits Watt's up make sure you sign up for Sephora's beauty insider program because you get a deluxe sample size of Watt's up along with a sample size of They're real mascara on your birthday!
Benefits That Gal Brightening Face Primer
Using a brightening primer under your foundation or adding a few drops to your foundation is a nice and subtle way to add a touch of glow to your face.

Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer
This is slowly becoming one of my favorite products, especially during the winter months. I find it just gives my skin such a nice pick me up and adds a bit of color and glow. I have a full review of this product, if you’d like to read more about it check it out HERE

Avene Thermal Water Spray

I’ve used this product ( and ones similar) for years. It has so many uses from setting your makeup, bring it with you to the beach on those hot days, on your sunburns or even when you’re feeling tired and need something to wake you up; I’ll just spray some of this on my face. Lately I’ve been loving it for setting my makeup, especially when I’ve found that my skin looks to powdery. It just sets everything and makes it look so much more natural and healthy. I also have the Evian brand facial spray and love that too, it’s usually pretty pricy but my sister and I recently found it at Wal-Mart on sale for $3.00! If you guys want a more in depth review on this, let me know in the comments.

PS: new layout is almost done, the awesome Chelsea is designing it for me (if you're in need of any graphic designing, she is amazing at what she does and is so great to work with!). Just a few last fixes and it will be good to go!
