L'Oreal Shocking Extensions Mascara Review & New Layout!

Now into the review...  I've always been big on testing out new mascaras, I love layering them and finding the best combination that works for my lashes. These past few weeks I've been really loving the new L'Oreal Shocking Extensions mascara.With this one I don't even need to use another mascara over top because this Shocking Extensions mascara makes my lashes look so long and voluminous!  

When I first saw this mascara I was kind of turned off by the brush because it didn't look like the typical brush I go for, I usually like the thicker brushes.

The brush shape is thin with fairly short bristles which makes it great for picking up all of your lashes and really coating them, it’s also great for winging out the ends.A few other added bonuses is that it doesn't leave flakes underneath your eyes and it does not make your lashes feel hard or brittle. I find this mascara really gives a natural but full and defined look, best of both worlds in my opinion.

My Mascara Routine!

Hi Everyone! First I want to say a Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends! (I'm jealous of all of the yummy foods you will be eating!) I've been experimenting with a bunch of mascaras over the past month and I wanted to share with you guys my current favourite mascara routine. I'm a huge fan of thick and full lashes so if you're a fan as well then I would definitely recommend these products!

The products I use are Cover Girl Lash Blast, L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black, and a Tarte eyelash curler

My lashes aren't very short but they also are not very long and full so when applying mascara those are the two main things I try and achieve. 

First Step:
I take my favourite eyelash curler from Tarte and Curl my lashes

Second Step:
Next up I take the Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara and coat my lashes, winging out the outer corner. I use this mascara to separate, define and add some length to my lashes

Third Step:
Immediately after I take my L'Oreal Voluminous mascara and coat and wing out my lashes. I find this mascara is great for adding volume right at the root, as well as adding length.

Last Step:
Right after I'll grab my Cover Girl mascara and quickly go back over and make sure that there are no clumps and that the lashes are separated.

So that's it! That is my current mascara routine! I've been really loving this combo lately and I love how thick the roots look and how it almost makes it look like you have eyeliner on.

My Top 5 Drugstore Beauty Favourites!

Hi Everyone! I've been pretty MIA this last week, between school, work, family and friend I've no time for anything else! This past week of school has been crazy but so exciting at the same time! I'm currently enrolled in the Event Management Graduate Program and I'm loving it! There is so much work involved but it's going to be worth it. The one main assignment we have throughout the year is to plan a event to raise money for the Children's Wish Foundation...in groups of 6 and a $0 budget! It will be tough because everything is through donations and sponsors but it's for an amazing cause and will be so rewarding in the end! Anyways, today I wanted to share with you guys a few of my drugstore favourites. This is one of my favourite kind of post to read because some drugstore items are such a hit or miss, it's great to see what other people think of a product before you go out and purchase it! Plus you sometimes read of a product you've never heard of or maybe never would of thought to try.

I've talked about this product again and again. I really do think its amazing and it has covered up my dark circles so well! I talk a bit more about it here in my Favorite Concealers post.

Wet and Wild "Walking on Eggshells" palette

This trio is one of my favourites for so many reasons...

Revlon 3D Volume Mascara

This is another product I've talked about time and time again. This Revlon mascara reminds me so much of the Benefit "they're real" mascara but a third of the price! The wand is very similar with the spiked tip that makes it so easy for your lashes to look winged out. This is really a great mascara, I love wearing it with the MUFE smokey last also!

L'Oreal Colour Riche in "Pink Cashmere"
These are fairly new from L'Oreal but have already became once of my favorites! The formula on these is so creamy and smooth but also very long lasting. This is my favorite shade from the collection, it's the perfect pink that you can wear all year round. Also the colour payoff it amazing!

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation
LOVE this foundation! It is by far my favourite drugstore foundation. Its extremely long-wearing, even with my oily skin and gives such amazing coverage without feeling heavy which I love. Down side to this is that in Canada it is pretty pricey for drugstore with a $16.99 price tag.

Products I've used up #1

Hi Everyone!

I've recently finished up some products and I love reading post on items people have used up because then you know that they actually enjoyed using them! So I thought I would share what I've used up over the past few months

Makeup forever HD foundation- I have to say that when I started using this I couldn't see what all of the hype was about but after using it for a few weeks I fell in love! The coverage is great, it doesn't feel heavy on your face and it lasts a good amount of time. It also photographs amazing, this might be my new favorite foundation.

Maybelline Lash Stiletto liquid eyeliner- This is my second time purchasing this product and I really like it! It has a felt tip which I like better and find easier to use. This was my favorite eyeliner until I tried the loreal carbon black eyeliner. Both are great products!

Makeup Forever HD setting powder- This has been in my favorites before and it will continue to be. This stuff is seriously amazing! A little bit pricey for a setting powder ( i think around $35) but it's completely worth it. I have oily skin and this makes my makeup last all day! It also gives your skin a flawless finish, I definitely recommend this!

Too Faced Lash light Mascara- This mascara gives a really nice natural look, as well as giving your lashes some good length. The different thing about this one is that it as a light and mirror on it in case you ever need to do a touch up at night!

Benefit's "They're Real" Mascara- This mascara is really amazing and I was fully ready to purchase it again until I found a close dupe. Revlon 3D mascara is so so close to the Benefit mascara, with basically the same brush, the Revlon on is around $8 as opposed to the Benefit one being $32

Glam Glow Mud Mask- I got a sample of this mask in either my Glymm or Luxe box. I tried it once and I was hooked. After doing this mask your skin feels amazing, smooth and you actually have a glow. I found my makeup went on a lot better after using this also. It is a little pricey at around $85 but Glymm had it on sale for about $50 and I also had my Glymm points saved up so I got $20 off, amazing deal! Glymm point are awesome, after every box you receive you can fill out surveys on what you thought of the products you received and you'll get points. Every 100 points is $10 towards their online shop!
